1. Our services
OneLife Diabetes provides type 1 diabetes coaching and education. This includes reviewing your glucose and insulin data with you, explaining patterns, and discussing strategies for food, exercise, technology and daily management.
Our services are not medical care. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or replace your doctor, endocrinologist or diabetes care team. Please talk with your healthcare team before making changes to your insulin doses, pump or device settings, medications or treatment plan. You stay responsible for your own care decisions.
2. Emergencies
We do not provide emergency or urgent care. Messages and emails are not monitored around the clock. For severe low blood sugar, signs of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), or any other medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For urgent questions about your care, contact your healthcare provider.
3. Between-session contact
Your purchase covers the scheduled session time only. Our services do not include correspondence between appointments, such as email, text or messaging support.
If we do reply to a message between sessions, that reply is a courtesy. It does not create an ongoing support arrangement, and we cannot guarantee a reply or how quickly one will come. Questions that need a detailed answer or a review of your data are best handled by booking a session.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate, complete information about your health history, current treatment and devices.
- Share the data we need, such as CGM, pump or logbook reports, before or during your session.
- Keep your healthcare team informed and involved in your care.
- Use your own judgment and your care team's guidance when applying anything discussed in a session.
5. Sessions
Sessions take place online by video. You'll receive a link when you book. Please join on time from a quiet place with a stable internet connection.
If you join late, your session will still end at its scheduled time and the full fee applies. If we're more than 10 minutes late or have technical problems on our end, we'll extend or reschedule your session at no charge.
Sessions are not recorded unless both of us agree to it in advance.
6. Booking and payment
Sessions are booked through our online scheduling page. Payment in full is due at the time of booking and is processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. All prices are in US dollars.
We do not bill insurance. If you'd like to request reimbursement from your insurance plan or a health spending account, we can provide a receipt on request. Coverage is not guaranteed.
7. Cancellations and no-shows
- 24 hours or more before your session: you can reschedule or cancel at no charge.
- Less than 24 hours before: the session is charged in full, or counted as used if it's part of a package.
- No-show: if you don't join within 15 minutes of the start time, the session is treated as a late cancellation.
We understand that low blood sugar, illness and family emergencies happen. Exceptions are at our discretion, so please let us know as soon as you can.
If we need to cancel, you'll get a full refund or a free reschedule, whichever you prefer.
8. Packages
- The 5-session package is valid for 6 months from purchase.
- The 10-session package is valid for 12 months from purchase.
- Unused sessions expire at the end of that period.
- Packages are for one client or one family and cannot be transferred or resold.
9. Refunds
- Single sessions: fully refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
- Packages, before your first session: fully refundable.
- Packages, after your first session: unused sessions may be refunded on request. We charge each used session at the full single-session price ($60 for 30 minutes) and refund the balance.
- Completed sessions: not refundable.
Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
10. Privacy
We keep your personal and health information private. We use it only to provide and prepare for your sessions. We do not sell or rent your information, and we only share it with your written permission or when required by law.
Our scheduling, video and payment tools are run by trusted third-party providers. They handle information under their own privacy policies.
11. No guaranteed results
Diabetes is affected by many things outside anyone's control, including hormones, illness, stress and activity. We share our knowledge and experience, but we cannot promise specific results, A1C levels or glucose readings.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, OneLife Diabetes is not liable for any injury, loss or damage that results from how you use information discussed in a session. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the services involved.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you book apply to that booking.
